Travels

One of the truly wonderful things about writing about distant locations, like those found in Stephanie's novels A Garden in Paris and A Hill Top in Tuscany, is the necessity (and Steph assures us it truly is a necessity) to travel.

Such research trips can be a grueling experience for the professional novelist. According to Steph, "There are some things you can do to enhance your experience in another place and some ugly American attitudes that need to be checked at the door if you are going to enjoy your time abroad."

While Stephanie sits in her office dreaming up her next vacat. . .um, research trip, she invites you to share a few of her travel experiences from Paris, France and Florence, Italy, as well as helpful tips and favorite places to visit.
